Description
The Yasaki HRM-50 is a tilting head dough mixer built for bakeries, pizzerias and commercial kitchens producing dough in batches. It runs a 42 L food-grade stainless steel bowl rated to 30 kg of dough per batch and up to 140 kg/h of throughput, driven by a 1.5 kW gear-driven transmission on a standard single-phase 10 A plug. The welded 4-8 mm hot-rolled steel frame and overhead-mounted gearbox are what separate it from lighter bench mixers - it is built to run dough shift after shift rather than in short bursts.
Why operators choose the HRM-50
-
42 L bowl rated to 30 kg of dough — sized for high-volume bakeries and multi-site production.
-
140 kg/h dough output — lets you plan batch cycles against real service volume rather than guesswork.
-
Tilting head with removable bowl — the head lifts and the bowl lifts out, so loading, scraping and emptying take seconds.
-
4-8 mm welded hot-rolled steel body — absorbs the load of stiff, low-hydration dough without flexing or walking across the floor.
-
Overhead-mounted (suspended) gearbox and motor — service access is from above, so routine maintenance does not mean tipping the machine.
-
Gear-driven transmission with chain-operated adjustment — positive drive that holds speed under heavy loads instead of slipping like a belt.
-
24 V low-voltage control panel — 30-minute timer, start, main switch and emergency stop at safe control voltage.
-
Food-grade stainless steel bowl, guard, dough guide and hook — every part touching dough is stainless and wipes down to audit standard.
-
Built-in overload protection — the motor cuts out before an over-tight batch can damage the drive.
-
CE certified with a painted finish to European standards — a documented compliance baseline for commercial installs.

The HRM-50 is the largest of the three, built for high-volume bakeries, wholesale production and multi-site kitchens - 30 kg a batch at 140 kg/h is genuine production throughput rather than back-of-house capacity. Its 125 kg mass and 820 mm footprint mean it wants a dedicated, level position with clear access around the head. Smaller venues rarely need this much bowl and should look at the HRM-20 or HRM-30.
The HRM range is rated by dough weight — 30 kg a batch at 140 kg/h — rather than by bowl volume alone, so size it on the dough you actually produce. Compare it against the rest of our commercial spiral and dough mixers, or browse the full Yasaki range.
The HRM-50 runs on a standard single-phase 10 A outlet, so no electrician is required - position it on a level floor with 50 cm clear around the machine and plug it in. At 125 kg net (140 kg packed, 900 x 550 x 880 mm) it ships by pallet freight and needs two people or a trolley to place. Supplied with a two-year parts and labour warranty; see our warranty information and service requests page for terms.
Frequently asked questions
How much dough can the Yasaki HRM-50 mix in one batch?
The HRM-50 is rated to 30 kg of dough per batch in its 42 L bowl, with a throughput of up to 140 kg/h.
Is the HRM-50 a spiral mixer or a planetary mixer?
It is a dough mixer with a rotating bowl and a fixed dough hook, which is the spiral-style action rather than the planetary action of a general-purpose cake mixer. If you are choosing between the two, our guide to spiral, planetary and fork bakery mixers sets out where each one wins.
What power supply does the HRM-50 need?
A standard single-phase 10 A outlet. The machine is rated 220-230 V and draws 1.5 kW, so it plugs into a normal commercial power point with no switchboard work or electrician required.
Can the bowl be removed for cleaning?
Yes. The head tilts back and the bowl lifts out, so the bowl, guard, dough guide and hook can all be taken to the sink. Every part that touches dough is food-grade stainless steel.
What are the dimensions and weight of the HRM-50?
It measures 820 x 485 x 726 mm (W x D x H) and weighs 125 kg net. Packed for freight it is 900 x 550 x 880 mm and 140 kg, so allow for pallet delivery and two-person placement.
Does this mixer have variable speed control?
Speed control buttons are fitted to the V-model version of this series only. The HRM-50 runs a fixed agitator speed of 98 rpm with a bowl rotation of 10 rpm.
How much clearance does the mixer need?
The manufacturer specifies a flat, firm, dry position with 50 cm of clear space around the machine for operation and cleaning. The HRM series is rated IPX23, so it must not be hosed down or installed in a wash-down zone.
What warranty does the Yasaki HRM series come with?
Two Years Parts and Labour Warranty. If you are costing a full fit-out around it, our Australian bakery equipment list covers what else a dough section usually needs.
