Description
The Thermaster D14 is a 14-tray blast chiller and shock freezer designed to rapidly reduce cooked food temperatures in compliance with HACCP food-safety standards. Accepting up to 14 × GN 1/1 or 14 × 600×400 mm Euronorm pans (40 mm deep), it delivers 56 kg per chill cycle using a fan-forced evaporator system with European-specification fans for consistent, uniform cooling throughout the cabinet.
Why operators choose the D14
-
56 kg chill capacity per cycle — handles full batch output from a commercial kitchen in a single run, reducing food waste and HACCP compliance risk.
-
14 × GN 1/1 or 14 × 600×400 mm Euronorm tray capacity — accommodates the two most common pan formats used in professional kitchens without adapters.
-
Digital controller with core probe and temperature display — monitors internal food temperature in real time, triggering cycle-end when the target is reached rather than by timer alone.
-
Fan-forced evaporator with European condenser and evaporating fans — delivers rapid, uniform chilling and prevents ice crystal formation that damages food texture.
-
Auto defrost & self-evaporating drainage — minimises operator intervention; no manual defrost cycle or draining required during service.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between blast chilling and shock freezing?
Blast chilling rapidly drops food temperature from +90°C to +3°C, extending refrigerated shelf life. Shock freezing drops it to -18°C for long-term frozen storage. The D14 handles both modes, selected via the digital controller.
What tray formats does the D14 accept?
The D14 accommodates 14 × full-size GN 1/1 gastronorm pans or 14 × 600×400 mm Euronorm pans at 40 mm spacing, covering the two standard commercial kitchen pan formats.
What power supply does the D14 require?
The D14 requires a 415V three-phase power supply at 2 kW. A dedicated three-phase circuit is required — do not attempt to run on single-phase power.
How much food can the D14 chill per cycle?
The D14 is rated at 56 kg chill capacity per cycle, making it suited to mid-to-large commercial kitchens producing batch volumes in that range per service.
Is the D14 HACCP compliant?
Yes. The D14 is built to HACCP specification and includes a digital controller with food-core probe and temperature display to monitor and record food temperatures throughout the chilling cycle.
