The cartridge on the water filter system needs to be replaced every 6 months and the unit must be de-scaled to clean the refrigeration evaporator plate.

This program will extend machine life, improve ice quality, reduce bacterial growth risks, and ensure food safety compliance.

If your ice machine is not maintained, your warranty may be void.

6 Monthly Maintenance Program

  • Remove scale and mineral deposits from evaporator plate and water distribution system using approved descaler.
  • Sanitise water reservoir, distribution tubes, and bin interior.
  • Clean and flush condenser coils (air-cooled units).
  • Inspect condenser fan motor and blades.
  • Check inlet water valve, float, and filters for correct operation.
  • Verify ice thickness probe or sensor calibration.
  • Inspect refrigerant pressures, superheat, and subcooling – adjust if necessary.
  • Test compressor amperage and general performance.
  • Inspect water pump operation and clean pump housing.
  • Check harvest cycle operation (heater or hot gas valve).
  • Inspect electrical connections, relays, and contactors.
  • Replace inline water filter cartridge.
